Pentane, n-, CP (Chemically pure) contains a minimum of 95% n-Pentane. It is a volatile organic compound and an alkane. n-Pentane appears as a clear colorless liquid with a petroleum-like odor. It is used for its high volatility, high purity and low odour. Flash point, -40 °C (refers to pure substance) ; Ignition temperature, 285 °C ; Melting Point, -129.7 °C ; Vapor pressure, 585.9 hPa.

Chemically and physically, n-Pentane behaves very similarly to Isopentane. Its boiling point is higher (35 °C). Pentane, n-, CP (Chemically pure)  occurs in volatile petroleum fractions(gasoline) and as a constituent of petroleum ether.

In addition, Pentane is a straight chain alkane consisting of 5 carbon atoms. It has a role as a non-polar solvent and a refrigerant. It is a volatile organic compound and an alkane. n-Pentane is a pentane isomer with straight chain normal structure. It is a clear, colorless solution with a mild and gasoline-like odor. n-Pentane is a low-boiling solvent, which greatly increases the safety demands to work with it.

Product Applications

In addition to the above mentioned, Normal Pentane (Pentane) is used principally as a blowing agent in foam production, as a propellant in aerosols and as reaction media for polymerisation processes. It is also used in the laboratory as solvents that can be conveniently and rapidly evaporated.

Petroleum Ether is a light petroleum product with a boiling range of 30 ~ 150 ℃, which is mainly composed of Pentane and Hexane. The collected temperature range is generally about 30 ℃, and generally has boiling range specifications of 30 ~ 60 ℃, 60 ~ 90 ℃, 90 ~ 120 ℃. Although the name has “Ether”, it is a mixture containing many hydrocarbons, which is different from ethers containing oxygen.

Chemical Property
Colorless and highly flammable transparent liquid with kerosene smell. The relative density is about 0.63 ~ 0.66. Insoluble in water, soluble in anhydrous ethanol, chloroform, benzene, oil and other most organic solvents. It is mainly composed of pentane and hexane, and also contains a small amount of unsaturated hydrocarbons. Volatile, polar 0.01, is a weak polar organic solvent, which is often mixed with strong polar organic solvents to form a developing agent for thin-layer chromatography and an eluent for column chromatography.

D20 solvent oil is fractionated from hydrocracking distillate oil after deep hydrofining, and the distillate is 118-135 ℃. Production process of D20 solvent oil private petrochemical refinery:
High pressure first stage production of ultra clean solvent oil technology takes straight run aviation kerosene as raw material and uses high-efficiency hydrofining catalyst to produce ultra clean solvent oil. The oil generated from the whole fraction is cut into different narrow fractions through precision fractionation to meet the index requirements of ultra clean solvent oil.
Using straight run aviation coal as raw material, ultra clean solvent oil is produced by high-pressure one-stage hydrogenation process. The aromatics of ultra clean solvent oil products are less than 0.05%, and the nitrogen and sulfur are less than 1lgpg.
